The Spirit of Turmeric

I am amazed by all that this root can do. Turmeric is a root that is used widely in Asian and Caribbean cuisine. 

I recently have researched this herb on the National Library of Medicine website: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7522354/#s5, and I am simply blown away.

Benefits: antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antidiabetic, hypocholesterolemic, anti-thrombotic, antihepatotoxic, anti-diarrheal, carminative, diuretic, antirheumatic, hypotensive, antimicrobial, antiviral, antioxidant, larvicidal, insecticidal, antivenomous, and antityrosinase effects, among others. 

In simple terms:  Turmeric protects our cells from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress causes a plethora of diseases. I'm not talking just some oxidative stress in the body, I'm talking oxidative stress in the brain as well.

Turmeric has been studied for its curcumin compound which has been proven to prevent and treat a plethora of illnesses caused by the body's inability to clean up oxidized cells.
