I have spent so much time with calendula over the years. Calendula was the second herb that I spent time getting to know very well. For a full 30-days I drank the herb, tinctured it, and created salves with it. It was a beautiful journey. I felt so abundant. My mind and my skin were so clear.
Calendula is most known for it's effect on our skin, inside and out. I want to also lean past some of what is largely known and say that it also helps the tissues of our organs.
Benefits:
Skin - heals broken skin quickly, soothes minor itchiness, soothes pain, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and more.
Internal Tissues - Soothes digestive track, Strengthens the tissues of the digestive track, anti-inflammatory, and more.
It is in my best judgement to let you know to never limit an herb to the understanding of what it has done for scientists in a lab. I find it best to let you know that you must experience calendula for yourself.
Experience it. Take note of how it heals your wounds. How it tastes in your broths. How the tea uplifts you. I implore you to experience this plant for yourself in more ways than one.
Calendula is a mother's best friend:
I make and carry my calendula salve, which is called First-aid Cream at our shop, in my purse, bookbag, lunch box, every where. Why? Because when my daughter gets a bug bite, when my son has a rash, when my niece falls on concrete, or when I've broken a nail down to the skin, it is calendula that soothes it all. The kids in my life will tell you: something happened? Ask mom for First-aid Cream.
More information will be added soon. Come back soon.
